This Privacy Policy explains how AI Astro GPT (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use our website, progressive web app, and Android clients that connect to the same backend.

Information we collect

• Google account (sign-in): Name, email address, profile picture, and Google subject id via OAuth.
• Birth & chart data: Dates, times, places, and computed chart data you save as natal profiles, matching inputs, and analytics reports.
• Location: Place names and coordinates you search to calculate Horas and panchang (stored in browser local storage and optionally in saved profiles).
• Account & billing: Role, subscription dates, credit balance, payment notes added by administrators, free-access windows.
• Usage analytics: Login events, page views (path only), and feature usage tied to your email (see Admin analytics).
• Technical logs: IP address, user agent, timestamps for security and reliability (retained per server log policy).
• Alert preferences: Email, location, and notification rules if you configure Hora alerts.

Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

• Contract: Providing Hora Watch, natal dashboard, matching, credits, and subscriptions you request.
• Legitimate interests: Security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and aggregated usage analytics.
• Consent: Non-essential cookies/analytics where required (see Cookies below).
• Legal obligation: Where applicable tax or regulatory records must be kept.

Cookies & local storage

• Session cookie: Essential for Google sign-in and keeping you logged in (HttpOnly, Secure in production).
• Theme preference: localStorage key hora-theme (light/dark).

• Cookie consent: localStorage key hora-cookie-consent.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear site data in your browser at any time.

Third-party processors

• Google: OAuth sign-in (Google Privacy Policy applies).
• SiliconFlow: AI text generation for Love/Marriage/Medical/Transit interpretations (chart evidence sent; responses cached per user).
• Open-Meteo / Nominatim: Geocoding and place search.
• Google Pay: Payments are handled outside the app; we verify via UTR/screenshot and admin credit recharge.
• Email (SMTP): Hora alert notifications when enabled.

International transfers

Data may be processed on servers in India and by processors in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) for EEA/UK transfers.

US state privacy (California and similar)

We do not sell personal information. You may request access, correction, or deletion as described below. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the astrology service you request.

Retention

• Account data: while your account is active and as needed for subscriptions and legal obligations.
• Analytics events: up to 365 days (auto-purged by maintenance scheduler).
• LLM cache: up to 90 days unless deleted with your account.
• Server logs: limited retention for security.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of your data (GET /api/v1/account/data-export when signed in).
• Correct inaccurate account information (Account page or contact support).
• Delete your account (email aiastrogpt@gmail.com; admins can remove records including profiles, credits, analytics, and cache).
• Object to or restrict certain processing (contact us).
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (EEA/UK).

Security

We use HTTPS in production, secure session cookies, CSRF protection on admin forms, rate limiting, security headers, and generic API error messages that do not expose internal logic. No method is 100% secure; report concerns to aiastrogpt@gmail.com.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA where applicable). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
